Editorial Standards
These are the site’s editorial rules. The existing calculator catalogue is being migrated to explicit evidence records; completed tests do not certify every legacy page.
Sources have a stated scope
Source lists identify the material used and its check date. Migrated definitions distinguish formula or method evidence, measured data, interpretation and calculation conventions. A method citation does not by itself establish a clinical threshold, current price or published numerical test value. Legacy definitions still carry a single source; they have not all received claim-level evidence review.
Test cases declare their provenance
Migrated cases distinguish independently published source examples, legacy regressions and synthetic or property checks. A source example records its exact location, check date and comparison tolerance. Unclassified legacy cases remain unclassified; a nearby source link does not turn them into source examples. Regression and property tests help prevent implementation errors, but do not independently establish scientific correctness. Formula-only legacy fixtures outside the supported input range are reported separately and do not certify valid user inputs.
Explanation text is capped, on purpose
Any explanation text is limited to 250 words. The build fails if a calculator goes over. The calculator is the point; the words around it are not supposed to compete with it for space.
No stars, no ads, no carousels
This site carries no star ratings, no AggregateRating markup, no advertising (including no reserved ad space), and no content carousels. Review-snippet data on the previous version of this site showed impressions with a star rating and zero clicks from it — stars without honesty behind them are just risk.
