What is a EU 42 in US sizes?
Roughly a US Men's 9, or a US Women's 11, matching a foot about 26.5 cm long. Treat it as a starting point — the exact fit depends on the brand's last.
How do I measure my foot length in centimetres?
Stand on paper with your heel against a wall, mark the tip of your longest toe and measure from the wall to the mark. Measure both feet in the evening and use the longer one. This is the most reliable input, since every system is built from it.
Why do the same sizes fit differently across brands?
Each brand builds shoes around its own last — the mould that sets length, width and volume — so a EU 42 can feel half a size off between makers. This converter uses the documented relationships between systems, not any one brand's last.
What is the difference between US men's and women's sizes?
