Result: 9.07Every system is turned into a foot length in centimetres first, then into the one you want. EU counts Paris points of two thirds of a centimetre, UK counts barleycorns of a third of an inch, US men sit one number above UK. Sizes are a convention, so treat the answer as a starting point and check the brand's own chart.

Roughly a US Men's 9, or a US Women's 11, matching a foot about 26.5 cm long. Treat it as a starting point — the exact fit depends on the brand's last.
Stand on paper with your heel against a wall, mark the tip of your longest toe and measure from the wall to the mark. Measure both feet in the evening and use the longer one. This is the most reliable input, since every system is built from it.
Each brand builds shoes around its own last — the mould that sets length, width and volume — so a EU 42 can feel half a size off between makers. This converter uses the documented relationships between systems, not any one brand's last.
Both sit on the same barleycorn scale as UK sizing, with different starting numbers: US Men = UK + 1 and US Women = UK + 3. A women's number is therefore about two above the men's for the same foot.
No — shoe sizing is a convention, not a measurement. The Paris point, the barleycorn and the 1.5 cm allowance between foot and last are documented, but the men's-to-women's offset varies between charts.
