Pace is the time it takes to cover one unit of distance, usually a kilometre. A pace of 5.00 min/km means every kilometre takes exactly five minutes. It is the inverse of speed: a faster runner has a lower pace number.

What pace do I need for a sub-2:00 half marathon?
